27% Of Tenants 'Say They Were Rushed Into Signing'

It's important that when looking for a house to rent that you only choose the property that's right for you and your needs - and that you don't feel as though you've been pushed into making a decision on a home before you're sure it's the correct one.

Unfortunately, it seems that many people in the UK are feeling as though they're being rushed into signing tenancy agreements, with new research from Ocean Finance showing that 27 per cent of people feel this way.

It was found that more than half of those asked said that they regretted renting their current property, with London and Northern Ireland emerging as the most-rushed regions of them all.

The main reasons for regret were found to be the property being too cold, too small, needing too much work, being in a poor area, not having enough outdoor space, lacking character, too old-fashioned and too far away from amenities.

However, recent research published back in June by Paragon Mortgages found that there was a high degree of tenant satisfaction, with 79 per cent saying that they're happy with their current landlord. What's more, 85 per cent of tenants viewed their current rental property to be their home.
